Psalm 119:33-40 (NKJV)
Teach me, O Lord, the way of Your statutes,
And I shall keep it to the end.
Give me understanding, and I shall keep Your law;
Indeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart.
Make me walk in the path of Your commandments,
For I delight in it.
Incline my heart to Your testimonies,
And not to covetousness.
Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things,
And revive me in Your way.
Establish Your word to Your servant,
Who is devoted to fearing You.
Turn away my reproach which I dread,
For Your judgments are good.
Behold, I long for Your precepts;
Revive me in Your righteousness.

  3. Can you please make a KJV version of this? I really love the song but I like it better in KJV. :D

  4. Absolutely terrific. You really have something special on this one. The extremely lyrical prayer feel is exquisite. I can't tell you how "Christian" music has fallen. Thank you so much for your hard work. IMHO, this arrangement should have a full score.
    The only part I got hung up on a little is on verse 34. After looking at parallel translations and the Hebrew: the word translated "keep" has a connotation of obeying, but this and the word translated "observe" both also have a shade of guarding. Unfortunately none of the English translations really do it justice. For my own work I am using "Give me understanding, and I shall keep Your law; Indeed, I shall guard it with my__ whole heart."
    Thank you again for doing your part to keep music scriptural.
    I'm a bass singer: Esther's range very closely matches my own (another octave). So your recordings and music have become my primary practice medium ;-)
    I mark up these scores for guitar chords as it is better for editing and printing, and some of your lead sheets are not in the keys of the corresponding recording. I tend to favor the melodies that drop as low as E. I do capo chords where best. This one, I found capo 1 makes the C section a little tougher, but much easier after modulating to Eb and Db. Let me know if you would like a copy. I mark them up in treble clef and then do a copy dropped an octave to bass clef for my practice, possible church singing in the near future.
    I would like to discus by email using your materials to create a CD recording or even collaborating on a recording.
    I expect you read these comments so please respond. Thank you so much!
